ALA is led by 'tocallas' Katy and Catherine who are experienced instructors and interpreters, jointly holding over 6,000 hours of special education meeting interpretation in Massachusetts schools and both approved instructors for DESE Tier 2 and Tier 3 Educational Interpreting trainings.

 

Bermudez is a Certified Medical Interpreter, who holds a Masters Degree in Education/ESL from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, and has extensive experience with K12 educational interpreting as well as healthcare and legal interpreting. She is also a seasoned instructor for medical interpreting courses. Moonan (M.B.A. University of Massachusetts Amherst, B.A Smith College, Certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages by the International Language Institute, Phase One Certified Federal Court Interpreter) holds over 15 years of community and conference interpreting experience, has a background in adult education and has been an interpretation instructor since 2018.
